Female circumcision is also known as female genital mutilation or female genital cutting. FGM is an early ancient cultural ritual. Many strategies have been implemented to eliminate this practice. However, despite work efforts, it is still widespread, mainly in poor uneducated societies worldwide by the misconception of correlating this rational cultural practice to religion.
