Does Today’s Society put a Higher Emphasis on Sports over Education in the United States?

Many students have been told there entire life by doctors, parents, and even teachers the importance of playing a sport to keep your body in physical shape and to stay healthy.
Others, use sports as a way to release stress or avoid problems they may be facing at school or at home. However, what if sports have become to emphasized in America, degrading the importance of academics.Edward Koren a famous publisher in New York shows his audience the relationship between athletics and academics through a cartoon. These high profits typically come from ticket prices and concessions.
