Human extinction also known as doomsday is the inevitable end of humanity which can happen in many different ways, such as natural causes or a consequence of human activity. Some examples of natural causes could be a post-human evolution (not necessarily a doomsday scenario), meteor impact, and climate change which can be caused by increased volcanic activity and solar output. Many possible scenarios of Unnatural Causes from human activity include global nuclear warfare, biowarfare, global warming caused by human activity, pandemic, and resource depletion caused by overpopulation. Another thing that can wipe out, humanity is advanced technology such as advanced artificial intelligence, self-replicating nanobots or biotechnology due to fact that some form of advanced technology could outsmart humans and destroy them.

One example of a human activity is global nuclear war because it can cause total annihilation of humankind because nuclear weapons are weapons of mass destruction and they can cause a drastic climate change such as causing the entire planet to fall into a nuclear winter which can last for decades, centuries, or even millennia after the war. A nuclear winter is caused by layers of smoke and dust getting absorbed into
For other doomsday scenarios like global nuclear warfare, large-scale volcanism, and a meteor impact can start a small ice age and cause humanity to starve to extinction. A scientific accident is also a risk for human extinction because some scientist can either create a super-intelligent entity that can wipe out humanity or accidentally release a bioweapon which can cause a global pandemic. When it comes to these doomsday scenarios the world will move on without
