When a kindergartener or first grader is asked what they would like to be when they grow up, most of their responses are either to become a doctor, firefighter, or a police officer. I say this because as students in kindergarten and first grade, they are only exposed to a minimum of careers which typically are the ones I mentioned above and which are categorized as heroes.
They are not aware of many diverse and well equipped professions that are in society which can also be categorized as heroes. As a result, many students stick to what they only know and get inspired to fulfill that particular dream in their future. However, young children are not being exposed to the finer things in life. Living a healthy lifestyle should be everyone’s first priority and everyone should have the chance to enjoy life without limitations. Students will also have the opportunity to study nutrition and the body for their own moral and health. Being able to manage my own health is one of the main reasons why I wanted to major in Dietetics.
Dietitians are the real heroes in my eyes for the reason that they help save lives, help fight sickness, obesity, and even can help someone attain the body they’ve always wanted!
Once a student has received their degree in dietetics, they will be able to branch out into different sections in the profession. Engaging in this field offers the professional the choice to work in areas such as clinical dietetics, food and nutrition management, education and research, consultant private practice, and related health professions. Therefore, if the professional develops apathetic in a certain area or would like to discover grander opportunities, they can switch and become acquainted with other career choices. In contrast to other careers, some require their employees to stay in the one area they are certified in such as the profession education. If
