Recommended: Definition of friendship

Friendship. Such a word that has more than one definition to many different people. However, to Merriam-Webster, it simply means a state of being friends. But, not to me. Friendship, in my definition, is that one person who I think of when I need comfort the most, a person who would never leave me even when I want to be alone. Friendship is that one person who I can pour my heart out and not fear of being judged for it. Friendship, to me, is the reason why I am still genuinely happy in this stressful life. When I was younger I wasn't known for being gregarious. In fact, I was a quiet child when I joined a school. I would keep to myself and only speak when it was necessary.
