The Importance of Friendships
Friendship can be define as a voluntary, close, mutual and dyadic relationship. A friend is a person with whom we share a deeper level of interaction and communication. When we say deeper it does not mean that necessarily we need to be in contact with our friends very frequently. We can still have a valuable friendship and not be in touch with it for a long time. A real friend is a person that even we do not see him very frequently, we still manage to catch up with each other from time to time, and talk as if time has not pass by.
The Meaning of Friendship
When defining friendship it can be explained in numerous of ways. It is most commonly described as the quality or state of being friendly; but, truthfully friendship it far more complex than just a simple expression to one another. It is a relationship that is formed over time that takes much commitment and a leveled compromise with one another to proceed the connection. A friendship can begin from something as common as a mutual interest and form into something life lasting.
There are many valuable things in life like family, sports, school but what about friendship? To live life without friendship is something no one should ever go through. Friendship is a necessity to living a successful life. Friendship occurs when someone is a supporter, gives assistance, and is attached to someone all the while genuinely taking care of them when they are hurt (The definition of friend, 1995-2002). A good and healthy friendship can be defined fro individuals as when someone has his or her own support system, a friend being loyal, and will always have genuine and mutual trust.
Friendships are one of the most important things you can get out of life. It’s something that everyone has to have because without it we would all go insane. Just think if no one talked to each other and we never made friends, this world would be a ticking time bomb. Studies say human need friendships and love to survive. So friendship is a big part of your life.
Loyalty and friendship is a very crucial aspect in life. Having friends, and also being a friend that is very supportive, more experienced and knowledgeable, and caring is essential. You can encounter many hardships in life, and knowing you have someone, or some people by your side is always comforting. But it is not always that every friend you have will have your back. You must, choose the right friends, that will help guide you in the right direction, and help you when in need. This is because having loyal friends such as like these in the book would really help you if you ever have to come across a problem or any tough situation. In the end, loyalty and friendship is all that matters, and in life having people like these will make your life seem happier and more positive.
Friendships can have a significant influence on one’s mind, body and spirit. Friends can help one celebrate good times and help comfort in bad. Having friends prevents one from being lonely, increases ones sense of belonging and purpose in life, can help to reduce stress, make one feel worthy and improves confidence in one’s self. Everyone can benefit from friendship.
Friendship can be understood as both an emotional attachment to one another and the status of that relationship. Being someone’s friend requires a prosperity for wishing them well, for wanting to spend time with them and for wanting to help them in time of need.

As Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of United States, once said, “Friendship is the only cement that will hold the world together”, I strongly agree to his statement because friendship teach to help one another, learn to accept each other and build trust and faith towards each other.
A friend is someone difficult to find. A friend is someone you can always count on when times are tough. The dictionary's definition of a good friend is a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard. A good friend is there when you are struggling. For example, when a boy breaks your heart a good friend walks you through it and offers a shoulder to cry on. According to Bree Neff, a good friend is someone who is trustworthy, doesn't talk behind your back, listens to your problems, gives good advice and tries to lend humor along with his or her support. There are also bad friends, those who pretend to care and then turn around gossiping and starting drama. Good and bad friends are all around you, involved in your everyday life. To find good friends you should look for such traits as being kind, trustworthy, loyal and dependable.
Friendship is the most wonderful relationship that anyone can have. Ideally a friend is a person who offers love and respect and will never leave or betray us. Friends can tell harsh truths when they must be told. There are four different types of friends: True friends, Convenient friends, Special interest friends, and historical friends. To have friendship is to have comfort. In times of crisis and depression, a friend is there to calm us and to help lift up our spirits.
