Imagine if humans had the same ability to change the shape of their body or the color of their skin at any given moment like the cuttlefish, a survival method that would allow someone to conform to any situation. Unfortunately humans do not possess this ability; instead we as human beings have the ego. The human ego is a self-defense tool, shielding the mind from conflicts between reality and society’s standards, self-expectations, and self-esteem issues, a mask that can be worn as a disguise to protect oneself from the external world.
Often times in nature the smaller less ferocious appearing species end up being on the lower spectrum of the food chain. Unlike the apex predators such as the Great White Shark that can reach up to 21 feet in length and can have up to 70 razor sharp teeth in its mouth at a time or the powerful saltwater crocodile that will hunt animals up to twice its size, the cuttlefish is anything but fierce looking; a cephalopod closely related to the squid and octopus it floats around propelled by its undulating fins that encompass their body, the cuttlefish resem...
