To investigate creativity in organisations attention should be shifted to the creative processes that these organisations utilise. These creative processes may share similar phases including generation of knowledge and awareness, incubation process, birth, evaluation and implementation of ideas. The generation of knowledge and awareness depends on various sources whilst, may be classified into internal and external. Research and development, marketing, production, purchasing and sales may constitute internal resources. On the contrary, external resources may include suppliers, clients, competitors, consultants, distribution and networks. Individuals tend to seek solutions to specific problems, based on any kind of prior experience in relation to the particular problem. However, the excessive dependence on previous experience renders the creative approach to the problem insufficient (Scaltsas, 2016). Furthermore, rational thinking is a distinctive function of human nature, which is triggered when people need to have a deeper understanding of the environment in which they operate. Nevertheless, rationalisation as a cognitive process deters individuals from developing creativeness. Additionally, the fear of failure is another obstacle in terms of creativity. More specifically, the thought of possible failure rather than the actual experience is the one that evokes inertia by preventing the utilisation of creative thinking as a means for problem solving. Likewise, the fear of rejection, which is originated from the human's inner need to feel acceptance from his/her surroundings, results in weakening of creative thinking as the opinion of others, prevails. Finally, the stimulation of mind with new information is crucial so as individuals to enhance creative thinking. In most other cases, passive thinking prevails and the mind debilitates. A substantial cause of passive thinking is considered the repetitiveness through daily routine, resulting to people's tendency to seek pretexts so as to avoid thinking and acting proactively (Tracy,

As Kerr is an educator and a professor in universities and not an economist, he examines his idea or creativity in the organization by making inquires starting from top management to the bottom in the organization and also to people who knew what the buyer or customer should be; then he would run it through his network in and outside GE to cross examination and double check or assessment (Davenport et al). Music and other art forms often go hand in hand. Creativity is not just a one-note deal or rather it is not confined to a singular aspect or form. Oftentimes it is interlaced into many forms, such as, music, writing, artwork, fashion and much more. Like a tree, creativity grows and extends out into infinite directions rooting itself in society. One such artist is Brandon Boyd. During the day he is a contemporary artist and by night he is a singer-songwriter for an internationally recognized rock band, Incubus. Some of their songs include; “Pardon Me” form the album entitled, When Incubus Attacks Vol. 1, and “Drive, “Dig,” and “Oil and Water,” three of my favorites, from the album entitled, Monuments and Melodies and “Sad Sick Little World” from the album entitled, A Crow Left of the Murder. In a 2009 interview with CNN, Brandon said it best, when asked, “So what does art fulfill in you that you don’t get out of music?”
Florida (2002) defines creativity as the ability to synthesize. In his book, he claims creativity as the “decisive source” of competitive advantage and that creative class is the prominent driving force of economic development. Creativity in artistic and cultural forms has involved in inspiring economic and technological creativity and it is believed that, in that sense, economy moves from a system of company-centered to more of a mechanism of people-driven.
In their article, “The Creativity Crisis”, authors Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman explore the urgency of the downfall in the public’s “creativity quotient.” Bronson and Merryman emphasize the necessity for young children to be imaginative. Through an IBM poll, they verify that with the decrease of creativity in our society comes an array of consequences seen in the work field. The authors remind readers of another reason for the importance of creativity; they argue that creative ideas can solve national matters. Hence, Branson and Merryman believe that original ideas are key for a better world. Though I concede that creativity is a vital key to the solution of many national problems, I still insist that teaching creativity,

Creativity has been a major influence when dealing with these changes brought on by the innovative technologies and that is why we should have creativity studies to guide the transition. Also, for students to have these skills before they enter the workforce will benefit them on so many levels. They won’t have to spend more time learning these skills because they already have what the job
NACCCE definition of creativity: ‘Imaginative activity fashioned so as to produce outcomes that are both original and of value’(NACCCE, 1999:94).Creativity can motivate children to learn new information through a creative outlook. One of the biggest issues teachers have is between teaching required content and integrating creativity into the daily sessions. The National Curriculum and state standard often create boundaries towards the teacher’s ability to develop the lesson, as the intention of including creativity sometimes resorts in a teacher centred learning environment. The teacher’s role should be to generate lessons and create activities that encourage students to be more open to their creative side. This is vital as it exposes children with varying learning styles to different ways of learning.
Innovation has become a critical element for a business to be successful. More emphasis is placed on creativity as it is the core that drives innovation within a company. Businesses must provide a conducive work environment to produce and grow a creativity amongst its employees. We will discuss the five critical component to a creative work environment which include challenging work, organization encouragement, supervisor encouragement, work group encouragement, lack of organization impediments and freedom.
For an effective education creativity needs to be present within all aspects of a primary classroom. So what does it mean to be ‘creative’? According to Sir Ken Robinson “creativity is the process of having original ideas which have value”. Creativity can be demonstrated through the use of technology, problem solving experiments and allowing children the freedom to explore and express new ideas. It is very important to ensure a child can get the best creative education; this is because creativity will give the necessary skills needed for our future. Children must become creative problem solvers if they are in leadership positions as this will help them within society, even though all children may not be in a leadership position it is beneficial for them to have a creative mind-set. Because the world we live in is constantly developing new ideas, concepts and technology, creativity is definitely the most important quality a child can have. Sir Ken Robinson’s, (an international advisor on education) views on creativity in education will be discussed along with New Labour views which includes the National Advisory Committee on Creative and Cultural Education (NACCCE). The 1977 white paper, the open plan for schools, and the 2003 excellence and enjoyment strategy concepts will also be drawn on.
Over the course of this class I have learned how important it is to be creative and innovative in the way that businesses are conducted within the organizations. The ability to innovate is the “secret sauce” of business success (Dyer, et al., 2009). However, creativity and innovation cannot take place if the leaders are not willing to foster a culture of innovation within the organization. Amabile & Khaire (2008) asserted that, it is essential to motivate people to contribute ideas by making it safe to fail. Stress that the goal is to experiment constantly, fail early and often—and learn as much as possible in the process. Convince people that they won’t be punished or humiliated if they speak up or make mistakes (Amabile & Khaire, 2008).
