The bible is obviously broken up into two covenants, The Old Testament and New Testament. In the Old Testament the Holy Spirit wasn’t poured out among the people like it is today. This was a covenant that God made with his people for their salvation or also known as the Covenant of Law. In the New Testament we believe Christ’s death is our salvation. When you read the Old Testament, their culture is so different from ours. It was Law to follow the word of God where today you have a choice and through the son of God you may enter heaven. Many people read the bible and they forget that the Historical Culture isn’t always straight forward like they would like.
