When looking at contexts of communication, one can quickly point at that it is a way to keep focus on certain communication processes and effects. Communication bounds or limits are not fixed and can readily and easily change. These contexts of communication includes the following which will be described below; intrapersonal communication, interpersonal communication, group communication, public communication, and mass communication.
Intrapersonal communication: Intrapersonal communication is that sort of communication that individual have within themselves being it positive or negative. This type of communication can also be termed “self-talk” as described in the course text book by Taylor.org, (n.d). This communication type can directly influences …show more content…

Therefore this process can be used in developing a unique relationship with another person by reciprocal action and at the same time sharing influence.
An example of interpersonal communication that I have practice time and again in my life involves a circumstance where I had a bad day at work. At home, I called a friend or relative to share what happened and get some suggestions from them in order to prevent such ill things from happening again. I do not only share the negative things, but also the positive situations.
Group communication: Group communication is that context of communication that involves three or more individuals. Small group may ranges from three to eight members whereas big group can be up to a hundred or even more people. Communication between smaller group is surely effective than communication between large group. Essential group communication is vital in any business environment. Group members therefore sit together and discuss how to carry out their assigned project and can even set up a time frame for themselves.
Public communication: Public communication is that area of communication whereby one person speaks to a group of people. In this case, the speak may decide to ask his/her audience questions and also receive questions from audience, and engage the audience in discussion. Of course, this can be different in different cultures whereby in some cultures the speaker never gives that chance to his/her audience to say a word. In this situation, the audience can only take what they heard even if there is some doubt with their understanding of the message.
An example of public communication that I was involved is when I attended a global source event here in China. A speaker was invited who gave us a speech on how to become effective sales. We could only listen to him, but could not ask any question for
