My favorite thing to do is to color and draw. I love to color. Coloring pages from the internet, and at times I will draw bubble letters and color those. I am a daredevil because I love to jump off high places and try new activities. One time I jumped off a humongous rock in my grandparent’s old house. It was only two feet, but I enjoyed the thrill of it. I have jumped my bike over curbs too. I am not afraid to try something new. I took STEM this year with little experience. Another one of my qualities is, that I have honestly acceptable handwriting for a boy. I love to write ideas down in a notebook or do my homework. It does not matter what I write with pen or pencil. While I was in fourth grade at Pleasantview Elementary School,
Three of my best traits would be my humor, my dedication, and my passion. My first trait, my humor, I get told that my humor is unique or just really funny. My humor has helped me get past problems and help my friends in their time of need. My dedication is strong, especially in band. I have put countless hours of practice into my instrument, and it pays off. I love when you dedicate yourself to something, and after a while, you become really good at it. My passion is a big one. I have so much passion in helping others, though
Color can be a semiotic resource. It has many uses in the cultural association of signs. Some features that contribute as a signifier are saturation, purity, modulation, value and hue. Red can signify danger, green can stand for hope. In most countries black is a sign of mourning. However, in some parts of Europe, brides wear black for their wedding. In China and some other Eastern Asian countries, white is considered the color for mourning. While in America and most of Europe, white is a sign of purity and warn by brides. These contrasts of cultural semiotics make color partly unpredictable. In order for the color to function as a sign, there must be a consensus of meaning. In most cases there is not a consensus that is shared by all societies. There are some regularities and this is what makes color function as a semiotic resource. The challenge is understanding the motivations and interests of different groups. Some colors translate well and some do not. Finding these regularities within groups and applying them as semiotic resources is a challenge (Kress, 2002). Some associations to color are universal and these connections could spread as communication becomes more global (Eiseman, 2000).

My family owned and operated a jewelry business for 8 years, since I was 10 years old. I grew up with this store, among the earrings and ornaments, always surrounded by things made from a unique substance called gold. Gold is a well-known element, atomic number 79; of course, everyone knows of its international monetary value. However, gold also has a deeply personal resonance; and upon closer examination, this material provides an emblematic picture of my past, my future, and what I offer Harvard University.
Growing up in Florida, the prevalence of a diverse society has always been evident to me. While realizing at a young age how many differences exist in my hometown of Orlando, I eagerly wanted to become a part of each segment of my world. From a young age, my parents could tell that I had an interest in the international cultures in my life.
From an early age I have always had a strong interest in art, and have been involved with it in some form all through my life. In year nine I realized that it was something that I might like to pursue as a career, I started taking it more seriously. The Chase's art department encouraged me very well and helped me develop my art skills.

The knowledge that I have the ability to change the world around me for good is what drives me. I can make an impact on people by simply doing what I love. Yes, people are impressed by skill and talent, but what makes someone want to go out and make a difference? What makes a person want to change the world? I believe that an example of pure passion is what inspires others to change their ways, to support something, and to make an impact on others. The simplest way to make a positive change in the world is to be the person that is so passionate about what he or she does that others simply cannot help but become passionate about it too.
Lying sprawled out on the floor within an aisle of a Barnes and Noble bookstore, the crisp snapping of pages on my sweaty fingers accelerates my heart rate to a rapid level. My mind has escaped to a new paradise, I have lost connection with the world around me and have encircled myself with an array of mystery novels. However, they are not the conventional mysterious reads about ghosts and haunted houses, but instead, they are the inspiring and captivating stories of medicine. I find myself entering a trauma operating room, with a little boy on the operating table who has just been airlifted from a car accident. I can hear from outside the operating room his mother crying and banging on the window, screaming “do not let my little boy die”.
There are many reasons that a person decides to pursue higher education beyond their high school years. For me, deciding to pursue higher education l after I graduated high school was a big committment that I wasn't ready to make. Instead of immediately going off to college like many of my friends and classmates, I decided to go to work. After spending six tiring years in the work force doing manual labor, I decided that enough was enough and that I needed to do something to better myself as an employee and as a person.
I’ve always had a passion for helping others and I love the idea of being considered a dependable person. I enjoy when others come to me to talk about the hardship they are experiencing and being able to provide them with feedback or helpful advice. To do this I learned that you need to have the characteristics of a “people person”. You must be patient, which from my job experience of working in retail and the fast food industry, I would consider myself to be a highly patient person. I also posses the the skill of being outgoing and friendly. I allow myself to be comfortable when speaking with different types of people and I let myself open up so I can personally relate to them. By doing this I believe that others will return the comfort that I created and will want
