Ethics are a system of explicit, philosophical and/or religious reflection on moral beliefs and practices to clarify what is right and wrong, they are set out in order to directionalize a person's behaviour and conduct. The prominence of the ethical teachings can be shown through the adherents of Christianity acclimating their lives completely or partially in order to enact the key ethical principles of the Christian faith.

The Bible is a key aspect within the Christian faith resulting in a large amount of accentuation situated upon how a Christian is to live though the ethics established in the Bible. As the highest levels of development is when a human is a child it is critical that the messages that they are receiving are ones that will guide them to live that can be considered morally right. The ways of which a child is raised has a formidable effect on the person they become and how they conduct themselves in the future times of their lives such as the integral years of adolescence. Subsequently it is vital that children are brought up in the correct environment, this correct environment shows a child what is wrong and what is right, how to live a life they will be contempt with. The most appropriate way to teach these things has been shown to teach the children under Christian ethical teachings. It is often said that it takes a village to raise a child this statement remains true to this day, it is the concern of the entire Christian community that a child grows and reaches their full potential while maintaining a strong personal devotion to God. When these choices must be made commonly people turn towards a higher power - their faith and the teachings that are brought along with it. The ethical teaching have a profound effect on the adherents of the Christian faith as they look upon them for guidance when in difficult situations and decisions. The ethical teachings that can be found in the Ten Commandments which are written in the bible (Exodus 20) tell of rules that must be considered when dealing with any type of choice, difficult or simple. Some of these rules include; You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not Steal, You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. The importance of these rules and guides can not be understated. They provide a way for the adherents of Christianity to life a live in which they will be a strong reliable member of society. The good morals they display will be appropriate for people to inspire to achieve. When these decisions are made in a correct and ethical way many doors are opened to fulfill more christian values and principles such as helping others to become a better person for themselves and god so that they to may be able to access the kingdom of God and once again obtain what is deeply wished for by many - life after
