A worldview is described as how we perceive the world around us; where we came from, why we are here, how to decipher the difference between right and wrong. There are several different worldviews that people hold and believe in. The views share some differences and similarities, but there is only one worldview held by Christians around the world: A biblical worldview. Foundational to the Christian faith, the biblical worldview is the belief that there is there is only one sovereign creator – God. He is actively involved in His creation – the entire universe and everything in it – and He listens to and answers prayers. The biblical worldview holds the belief that every living thing was intelligently created by God, and man was created in His image, as told in Genesis 1: 27, "So God created man in his …show more content…

Physical death is unavoidable – which seems to be the only belief that every worldview has in common. However, a biblical worldview trusts that after we pass away, we will either be united with our Father in heaven and have everlasting life, or we will be cast into the hellfire, eternally separated from him. The bible also supports this belief in John 11:25-26: “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” Yet again in Daniel 12:2: “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.” This is the only worldview that holds the view of living with our creator for eternity. Pantheists, for instance, believe they will become one with the cosmos after being reincarnated. Those who hold the new conscience worldview believe that death is just another reality or dimension, and deists are comfortable simply shrugging their shoulders with an “I don’t know” sort of
