Batman is one of the most well-known superheroes out there, appearing in many comics, movies and TV shows, as well as holding nicknames such as “The Dark Knight” and “The Caped Crusader”. He has performed countless impossible feats and fights among the best superheroes against the forces of evil despite being only human. All that protects him from menaces like the Joker and other villains are his physical and mental strength, along with an array of gadgets like batarangs and the batmobile. As a vigilante of Gotham city, he helps to solve crimes and defeat supervillains all around. It would be amazing for Batman to exist in real life wouldn’t it? Unfortunately this cannot happen, at least in the long run.

Along with this, at some points he would need to fight many enemies at once like we see in the movies. After a certain amount of people join the fight, there are too many enemies for him to punch and kick at the same time. To make this task even more difficult, Batman would have to subdue his enemies without killing them (like he does in the movies). The years it would take to attain this level of skill is estimated to be around 15 to 18 years. This combined with the strength training would occupy a lot of his day time for all of these years which could subject him to mental stress from the workload. An experiment conducted by BuzzFeed on two of their employees has already shown a relatively less intensive training routine to be impactful on the body in a negative way. The “Saitama” workout consists of 100 pushups, 100 situps, 100 squats, and a 10km run every single day. Both employees started to feel pain doing everyday actions before even two weeks of the workout. One gave up after 14 days. So therefore, to keep up Batman’s training for 15 years would be insane for normal people. If someone is somehow able to get through the training and now possesses Batman’s strength and skill, they would have to withstand the panic of someone seriously trying to kill them for the first few fights. If the Batman is killed or sustains serious injuries that stops him from being Batman, that would signal the end of his career and all those years spent training would go to waste. Batman must win each and every one of the thousands of fights in his career, which is likely to be longer than 10 years. For perspective, the longest undefeated streak in boxing is 89 wins by Julio César Chávez. Batman fights almost everyday in sometimes unfair situations which means this streak would last him about 100 days until he loses a fight and is decommissioned.
