Over years and years of constant, back-and-forth debate, there are many people who strongly support as well as many who strongly oppose abortion. Those who state that abortion should be legalized, a lot of the time, claim that it is the mother’s body so it then is her ultimate choice whether or not she should go through with aborting her unborn baby. In contrast, those who oppose the procedures and very idea of abortion claim it is inhumane, plain murder and that the mother can go through many consequences in undergoing the abortion procedures as well as other arguments. Women who have become pregnant should take the responsibility for their actions in becoming pregnant. This excludes the argument of “What if the woman was raped?” In the case of a rape, I still believe abortion is not the right way to handle the grief, guilt and depression that a woman may experience after finding out that she has become pregnant after being raped. It is a hard thing for low-income women to not be able to be funded for the abortion procedures as well as not be able to travel to an abortion clinic. Abortion to me will never be the right thing to do, and I will never agree with those who choose to undergo the procedures. I believe there are just too many consequences that will follow the procedures such as emotional and physical consequences. I will never support the idea of abortion but I do see where the procedure may be necessary. The one and only time I can see an abortion being necessary would be if the mother’s life were to be endangered due to carrying the baby. I still will never agree with the idea of abortion because I believe that an unborn baby is still a human being and is alive just like each and every one of us here today. Life is too precious to abort thousands of unborn babies a
