Product design : is create new product to be sold to the customer and must take into account what the customer need and what he want s , how new product will perform its functionality in an efficient , safe and reliable . The apple take 4 steps to product design . The third step is PAIRED DESIGN MEETINGS :
Have two type of meeting . First meeting is brainstorming without constraints . Second meeting is production meeting and decide how to make designer and developers work . In my opinion , these step encourage creative thinking and start over when generated better ideas that is good advantages and assist to produce the successful product . It encourages employees to innovation , develop and succeed in same time meet what customer need.
The fourth step Pony meetings :
Since managers ask impossible ponies . The process is reversed to designs are prepared 10 to 3 to 1 and pixel perfect and then show to the manager to selection direction they want . This to avoid to request ponies .

What is product? Product can be anything, tangible and intangible. Product is anything that the company can offer to the consumer. Apple’s products are the best of service in the market. From computer to smartphone to tablet computer, today customer believe that if they get the apple product. Even that price is high also worth it. Apple products are usually high quality, so in some case that is the best of available device for customer. However, it is not perfect, many customers leave for a series of problems, so they deeply hurt.
Within these eight stages, problems can be framed, the right questions can be asked, more idea can be created, and the best answers can be chosen. The steps aren’t linear; they occur simultaneously and can be repeated. Although design is always subject to personal taste, design thinkers share a common set of value the drive innovation: these value are meanly creativity, ambidextrous thinking, teamwork, and user focus curiosity (Owen, 1993).
Apple’s business strategy under Steve Jobs was well executed. Apple was very cautious about the release of its mobile and tablets. Therefore, Jobs allowed long development cycles that encouraged anticipation and displayed new innovations with each release. A report showed that Steve Jobs strategy was to develop and sell brand new, innovative products of which blended art and technology to provide simple and streamlined user experience. This business strategy made Apple a booming company for smartphones initiating the launch of the first iPhone in 2007 (Apple Business Strategy Under Steve Jobs, n.d.).
The reason why Apple has been so successful is the fact that the company creates high quality, stylish and sophisticated products by paying close attention to details. Apple products are seen as an indicator of high social status symbol and company has a huge number of followers. Apple entered the market when no other company paid attention to design of products, like phones and laptops. The market timing was perfect. While other companies were focusing on creating products by using the best technology that they can get their hands on, Apple paid close attention to details that are almost least important to other companies while creating new products. I am not sure that the company focuses on creating products that people actually need, but the company actually comes up with great products and tells people what they actually want. This want then translates into a need for the consumers. No other company has the guts to do that. It is like the engineers creating the products, actually make them for themselves. The products are user-centric and the company places all its efforts in ensuring that the products are easy to use, in order to deliver a great user experience. The products are easy to understand and learn.
