What happens when societies experience the inevitable pain that comes with times of great trouble? In these times of trouble people rise up with a solution. And these people have good intentions but they turn into a bad thing. It is only themselves that they want to help not the others in need. But to get away with things they need someone to blame an scapegoat, someone who is innocent but is blame for all the problems which is happening. Once the scapegoat is gone the person can finally rise up and take control. With this new person in charge they will make song, anthems, chants, and slogans about themselves. Mr.Jones was too lazy and drunk half of the time to feed his animals. When Old Major had his dream about Animalism, Snowball and Napoleon led the revolt against Mr.Jones kicking him from the farm, like how lenin had his dream about communism to the Russian people with the help of Trotsky and Stalin. As both Snowball and Napoleon, and Trotsky and Stalin, they had legitimize themselves by having new flags, song, and chants. With Animal Farm it was a new anthem called “Beast of England” and the Battle of Cowshed. For Russia it was “ Anthem for the Soviet Republic” and it was October Revolution. The scapegoating occur when Stalin killed the last of the Bolsheviks and for Animal Farm it was when Napoleon chased Snowball off and blamed everything that went wrong on Snowball. Like when Napoleon took the plans for the windmill and said those are his and later when the windmill was finished it fell because of poor workmanship or when Stalin had the rest of the Bolsheviks killed and after he had them killed he had a 5 year plan to mechanize Russia but had failed because products produced in state owned factories were flawed. Anyone who challenge Napoleon or Stalin would have they would say that they are unpatriotic and if they keep do so they will die. Both places had the same end the people were ruled by worst
