In Animal Farm, the importance of education, the power of language, and rhetoric is quite apparent. Education is often explored in Animal Farm. Language is also used. Lastly rhetoric is vastly used in Animal Farm. I will explain my claims in the coming paragraphs.
In Animal Farm, the importance of education is widespread, in all aspects of life. In both the book, and the movie/cartoon. An example of this was the first lesson that was taught after Jones was removed. It was educating the animals how to read and write. This was successful, for the most part, just like schools today. Another example would be the defence plan for The Battle of the Cowshed. Without the education of literacy, Snowball would never have been able to plan for an attack, that was based off of Julius Caesar’s campaigns. To show how the power of language, remember to scene from the 1999 movie, where the farmers put the microphone in the barn. Just to see what they were saying. Even though, they knew that they won't be able to understand what they were saying. A second example of this how once Napoleon removed Snowball from the farm, he started blaming Snowball for everything that didn’t go as planned.
