Canaan and I traveled to Nevada for Halloween. When we got there, we had a hotel in Carson City that our dad and grandma had reserved for us. I woke Canaan up in the taxi that drove us from the airport and told him we were here. Our room number was 612, so it was on the 6th floor. We got our room key and got to the room to get settled. We got our stuff up to the room, got in the showers, ate and got our costumes ready for the next day. We got in bed ate our snacks, played our phones and went sleep. I could not sleep that night because I kept hearing weird noises except for my brother. He was sleeping like a sloth, but these noises they sounded like a whirring outside the window. The night was tempestuous and my emotions were subtle, like the flame upon a torch. They blew out at the same time that my sense of tranquility dispersed, as if the winds had simply come and gone. The shrill scream of a young girl ricocheted off the walls and for a few brief seconds, it was the only sound that I could hear. It was then that the waves of turmoil commenced to crash upon me. It seemed as though every last one of my senses were succumbed to disperse from my reach completely. The truck rocked, swayed, and squeaked as the people smacked against the sides of the truck. Everybody was a blur as I began to panic as we were surrounded. But then I realized they weren't out to hurt us they just wanted their voices to be heard. I couldn’t understand a word that they were saying though because there so many different people yelling things. It all kind of just faded into one loud roar that wouldn’t die down.
I remember hearing birds chirp and tweet, the tweets were music to my ears. Cars zoomed by with a whoosh a few of the cars beeped their horns as they rode by our house. You could also hear kids playing next door and in the trailer park behind our house. Some people would walk down the street and you could hear them mumbling

It was a regular night when a guy named Ben was reading a book in the living room. He was in the middle of a sentence when he heard a CRASH in his bedroom. He put his book down for a minute or two and waited to see if it was him or it was something in his house. he didn’t hear anything else but silence so he picked up his book and started reading again,he didn’t hear anything for the rest of the night.
The living room was dark and the only thing you could see was the brightness of the TV. Also, I could still hear many people talking from down stairs, fire truck siren going off, and the city lights that were still shining bright. At the age of seven, on a cold Friday night in Brooklyn; my mom, cousin, and I started watching some scary movies since it was around Halloween. There was this movie called “Child’s Play” and as a child, I didn’t like the movie at all due to the fact that there was an ugly doll that was moving and killing people. During, that weekend it was showing marathons all weekend long since it was the Halloween weekend. The bed was pulled out with all the warm blankets and snacks besides us waiting for the move to start.
