Those who do not purchase health insurance will receive a tax penalty issued by the government. (Medicaid) If mandatory health insurance is still too expensive for certain individuals, the government will help them financially (ProCon). This is where the controversy comes in. Many people, mostly Republicans, don’t feel that they need to pay for other peoples‘ health insurance. On the other hand, most Democrats state that everyone should have the right to get affordable health care no matter what (Obamacarefacts.com) The real question is... The problem here is the lack of technological innovation, which will be more user friendly and encourage more insurers to be satisfied and receive the services they sign up for. If the government doesn’t fix this issue quickly, it can decrease their market power, causing people to seek insurance elsewhere. “The insurers are in “an unenviable position,” said Brett Graham, although they don’t have the responsibility or the capability to fix the system, they’re reliant on it.” The website is the main channel for people to buy insurance under the 2010 health care law” (New York Times). Throughout the 20th century and into the 21st century the United States has always had a realization that there was a problem with obtaining affordable health insurance. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) also known as Obamacare, was signed into law in March 2010. This law enables people who were unable to afford healthcare the ability to obtain a healthcare plan at an affordable rate. In 2009 a survey was taken as to the amount of people in the United States that carried health insurance. In table one below you can see over 50 million people in the United States did not have any type of insurance, which is close to 17 percent of the population (see table 1 below).

Will the Implementation of “Obamacare” Hurt the Nation’s Economy? “President Obama made this telling claim about his signature health-care law: Americans are “Going to the able to sign up for affordable, quality health insurance at a significantly cheaper rate than what they can get right now in the individual market.” (Roy p.1) Since President Obama introduced the legislation bill of the Affordable Care Act, there has been mixed feelings, as a nation, on how it can possibly affect their lives, but more importantly, the economy that is already in chaos. It is interesting to see that even though the nation as a whole is not in favor of the Affordable Care Act, the population will still be in favor of what the Democratic party proposes for health care reform more than the Republican party They show little to no interest in health care reform. Socializing health care in the United States can have its positive and negatives depending on how they are implementing it. The way the Affordable Care Act is written at the moment will not only hurt the patient, by making them wait even longer for care and forcing them to buy health care, but it will also hurt the economy by making the nation dependent on the government and their services.

Even Americans that are well off will chose worse jobs just for the health benefits. With the current system there are no boundaries on how the average insurance company can operate. With a system that provides basic coverage to everyone, there be an even greater need for specialized assistance. Over the next few years the American health system will shift towards providing greater health systems to those that are less fortunate.
There are a few major changes that are needed to make the website user friendly, easy access to public and private healthcare insurance plans that are affordable, politicians taking responsibility for privacy and enforcing HIPAA laws and policies, Expanding Medicaid programs in states that have a high percentage of consumers that live below the poverty level. Everyone is questioning how the government is going to control the cost of these issues and continue giving the promised access to healthcare for the millions that are uninsured. Obamacare has not only been a messy process, and will prove to be more expensive than that public anticipated. Americans understanding the new healthcare law and the government making Healthcare.gov user-friendly may keep the cost of running the website down. In the United States healthcare have been steadily rising due to high cost of delivering healthcare.
