This paper explores five published articles about the Affordable Care Act including an analysis on the overall impact on healthcare professions. This research will summarize the ten content areas of the Affordable Care Act and also provide an opinion on the overall outcome for everyone, and throughout the paper the results will vary based on the author’s belief about the new law. Other articles will discuss the purpose of the Affordable Care Act and the changes that can occur and affect millions of people’s life status and career. Overall, this paper examines the Affordable Care Act, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Fontenot, and Cutler’s research. To fully understand the importance of the Affordable Care Act a study must first be accomplished. THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT’S IMPACT ON SOCIETY 3 Title one’s purpose is to provide a new affordable health care insurance. The new health insurance will give access to anyone who is uninsured including the business owners. This new law will also make the insurance company’s job easier and to stay organized especially if there are large quantity of people that have access to health care. By reauthorizing the Indian Health Care Improvement Act it should help improve the native communities by allowing everyone to get the benefit of insurance. The amount of people that will have a health care insurance will increase because the Affordable Care Act will ensure that people will have an access to health care. The growth of healthcare workers may stay the same or increase because it all depends on how the government budgets their finances. If the economy is doing well then there will be more healthcare occupations
