In today’s society it is important for the citizens to cast their votes for the reasons of it’s the people’s votes that matter. The people can make a change in the country. Choosing the political view that stand out most and seem the most affective helps in choosing what party to vote for. “The Democratic Party is the party that opened its arms. We opened them to every nationality, every creed. We opened them to the immigrants. The Democratic Party is the party of the people.” – Richard J. Daley. The Democratic Party’s beliefs on the topics of healthcare, welfare and education causes them to be the best political fit for this country. Around 33 million people living in America were left without health insurance, and in that 33 million just alone 7 million were noncitizen immigrants who came to the United States to better themselves. Just for those 7 million people not being citizens they are forced to pay out of pocket and/or not be treated for lack of funds. “Making sure everyone has access to affordable healthcare.” (Lichetenberg, Dr.Naomi). The Democratic Party believes everyone, meaning citizen or noncitizen, has access to affordable healthcare.
