The Best Day of My Life I was told all my life that your senior year is the most critical year of your high school career. Until my first day of senior year, August 25th, 2014, I didn’t realize how true that statement really was. As I walked through the lobby that morning, it didn’t take me long to realize that I would never see many of these people again after graduation. Although I knew the next 180 days would be very difficult, I knew that in the end it would all be worth it. When I received my diploma from Elkin High School on the evening of June 12th, 2015, I soon realized this would be the best day of my life. Looking back, I would have never imagined how much hard work and effort led up to that night. Since the beginning of my senior year, I had set several goals I wanted to accomplish before graduation. Those goals included graduating with honors, being inducted into the National Technical Honor Society for the second year, being inducted into National Honor Society, and being inducted into the Music Honor Society. Another goal I had going into my senior year, I wanted to be able to do an internship in the Labor and Delivery department at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. This would help …show more content…

It will not always be an easy road, but as long as you set goals and do your best in everything you do, you will always be successful. The memories and relationships I built during my senior year, are all things I will carry with me throughout the rest of my life. The day I graduated high school was the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. I will never forget the feeling I had when I walked across that stage to receive my diploma. At that point, I knew that all the hard work and dedication I had put forth over the last four years had finally paid off.
