An engineering degree is one of the most pursued academic paths at a university level around the globe. There are many steps and procedures to become a good student, planning, monitoring, and evaluating are the best way to become a good student. Graduating with a bachelor degree in biomedical engineering is currently my major goal. I choose this field of engineering because I would like to work with people and computers. I also want to help the world to be a better place. I am confident I can reach my goal. There are lots of opportunities for me to become successful in this field. Throughout my life I wondered what I should become, a doctor, a businessman, an engineer, but until last year I figured out that engineering is the best thing for me. When I first decide to become a doctor it is only because of the money that is made becoming a doctor. Right now, I know money is only a second factor of deciding which profession you want to become. “Job dissatisfaction is the number one cause of unhappiness among people in the U.S. job sectors” (Landis 48). When I considered becoming an engineer first, I asked a question to myself, is this a good fit for me? I love to help people and change the way they live in today. “Engineering is the application of science to the common purpose of life” (Landis 36), which I loved to do with my life. One of the first thing about engineering that caught my attention, led me to realize that it is the career for me and getting a bachelor of science degree in engineering, is the fact that the absolutely no doors are closed from there on out and I have the ability to become whatever I want.
