The yearbook is an annual creation used to record and immortalize highlights and memories of the past year in AIS. However, the yearbook committee has been having problems recently with yearbook sales and there are many factors that should be looked into. There has been a lack of awareness when it comes to the school yearbook. Students and parents have been unaware of yearbook purchasing information which caused them to miss out on the dates and not be able to purchase one.
We have to be able to target one group of consumers to buy the yearbook. We chose to target parents because by using marketing strategies and hopefully raising awareness by advertisement, thus increasing the sale. These strategies include giving parents a fun way to show off how cute their teenager was as a baby and what better way to do it than the yearbook. In addition, kid advertisements would be created prior to inform the parents on what they could miss if they did not buy a yearbook. Plus, it would be a great way for our school to counterbalance the cost of the yearbook for everyone, especially the parents. Throughout the 20 word advertisements with pictures we could increase the rate of purchase by many ways. First of all by raising awareness, and also by convincing the parents to buy the yearbook so that they could see their kids. Furthermore, another strategy we could use is figuring out what ad sizes we will make, and then the calculate cost for the overall quantity. Then we could find the cost per page of the yearbook and divide the number of pages into the total estimated expenses. After all these steps we could set a reasonable price that is fit and follows all the requirement.

8th grade, 8th grade from the opening day to the signing of the yearbooks. This is the year of memories, goodbyes, and regrets. 8th grade and I’m still realizing that there are people in the world that would die to go to a school like this. A school where every body knows everyone’s name, respects everyone, and where violence and fighting are about as common as the Yankees missing the playoffs. When I’m done with my homework and go to bed, as the days of 8th grade wind down, summer will come and go, and I will find myself in one of those giant, scary places called high school.

Class of 2012, as we sit here this evening, I would like you to take a look at the classmates sitting around you. Many students have given countless hours of time, energy, and passion to worthy cuases that they have been a part of throughout high school. However, those aren't the only students deserving of recognition this evening. We have students here tonight, who have taken a stand for what they believe in, not even hesitating to compromise their reputations.
