The Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) are an array of components, which have an impact on ones health. These determinants include; but are not limited to, culture, biological factors, education, age, gender, etc. The SDoH are responsible for much of the world’s avoidable health inequalities (WHO, 2012). Health inequality is not about having poor health. It involves a variety of aspects including not having access to sufficient healthcare, and living in specific types of environments (Marmot & Wilkinson, 1999). The concept of euthanasia, or physician-assisted suicide, is severely controversial ethical. Different countries’ have various laws pertaining to euthanasia. This statement could apply to many health professionals, including doctors who were taught the ethics of practicing in school. The study concluded a wider variety of students from various countries had to be studied to govern a clearer view on why education influences attitudes toward euthanasia (Goldschmidt, Margalith & Musgrave, 2003). As this study only focused on Israeli nursing students, it can be concluded the study is valid for health professionals in Israel who have studied ethical practice, and for other countries with similar ethical and educational standards. Another study of medical students, including nurses, had students complete a four-month ethics and euthanasia class (Civaner, Mayda, Oezkara & Ogalak, 2004). A survey was distributed before and after the class had taken place. The student’s opinions on euthanasia had changed over this period. The increased education changed student’s opinions on whether euthanasia should be practiced, why it should not be practiced, if this was their opinion, and who can make decisions pertaining to
