This philosophy teaches project managers how to build a crew, develop a solid working foundation, manage individuals within their team, and effectively communicate with everyone involved with the project. Once this is accomplished, I would then divide the various components underneath the main topic or category into a waterfall or pyramid feature. Although, this should be utilized by every project manager, the truth to the matter is that most supervisors simply do not have the knowledge or skill set to accomplish this essential duty. Conflict management is the art or ability of identifying and adjudicating workplace conflicts in a well-balanced, innocuous, practical, and utilitarian manner.
However, in order to accomplish this increasingly difficult task in a timely manner, one must be able to use unsullied negotiating and problem solving skills. By using this management tool, a project manager can safely diffuse any type of workplace confrontation by simply examining the facts and implementing a viable resolution.
Although, many managers feel that conflicts are uncommon in the workforce. I actually believe that an inevitable conflict is good for the team for various reasons. For example, many employees have a tendency to hold in their anger during working hours and not voice their opinions.
