Personal Assessment The definition of Wellness has been found to be a statement of optimum health synergized with physical and mental health. Taking inventory of my physical and mental health relating to the assessments given has shown me how much I have compromised my health. The stress reactions inventory led me to understand that I have been affected and impacted on a greater level than I thought from my work place all due to my own possible codependency. I found myself putting things in perspective concerning my busy life. Things that I do every day as well as once or twice a week are school, work, family, church, church leadership functions, my own non-profit I’m working on, and radio on the internet as well as in Las Vegas, Nevada and Detroit, Michigan. Much of my time is involved in serving others therefore the need for retreat and inner reflection is needed. The bible ask us in 1 Corinthian 6:19, Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body. This scripture is saying by not spending time meditating and reflecting there is an injustice or some may call it sin concerning the health of the body and mind and not taking time to go within to experience the inner presence. We must come into true communion with the spirit of the Lord by reading and meditating on the word of God. 3 John 1:2 Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. Coping styles are needed to keep the creative flow moving within me. Reflection and journaling helps me to focus and become aligned, also reminding myself of Isaiah 45:2 I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. The scripture speaks to me reminding me that dwelling in anger and worrying allows blockage to form in my subconscious cutting off the unity between myself and God. The spirit of the Lord cannot work in confusion therefore my mind must submit to His will in order for peace to flow. Our minds become like mountains and gates of brass when were angry or worried, walls that seem immoveable, hence we make the work of the Lord harder by becoming angry, bitter, and burned out. Time alone opens the door of our mind’s to receive inspiration from the well of life offered through Jesus
