I have learned a lot about my health and wellness thorough out this semester it is truly amazing. The impact these seven different dimensions have on our health they are, physical, intellectual, psychological, spiritual, social, environmental, and occupational all play a role in our health. All in so many different ways working together to make a brighter and happier healthier us. These seven dimensions make up whom we are and how we live our life is all based upon how we balance these dimensions. This relates to most of my life. Social health is all about our interactions and relationships we have with people. I feel pretty strong in my ability to fulfill my social roles I deal with people on a daily basis. I have no problem talking to anyone I am very outgoing and love meeting new people. My job helps me everyday get better at this skill, it is an important skill to have in the working world of today. I like to give my undivided attention to people and listen to them and help. Environmental health explains the quality of your home, work, school, and social environment. Even the health of our planet plays a factor, air quality and availability of clean filtered water and healthy food. Also the weather and pollution, exposures to chemicals are factors playing against environment. I read an article by Lecia Bushak and she had made up many ways to help improve our environment. “Earth Day isn’t the only day you can take steps to make the environment better. In fact, it’s really easy to go green on a daily basis, and in doing so, you’ll be improving your own life” (Bushak, 2015). Following her step I will do my best to not use my car as much. I will be recycling more that’s for sure. I also will start being better about monitoring my electronics and water use in my home! These few changes will make the difference in my environmental health and I am willing to make these changes! The final dimension occupational health is explained by your relationship with your work. I have a great relationship with my job I enjoy what I do. I even get to train people how to do my job. I have plenty of room to advance with this job to move up the ladder. I intend to do so I am now training in other positions to move up. Along with gaining some more knowledge on higher up positions. I have great relationships with my co-workers and managers.
