The film Jack and Jill primary ideas throughout the film evolves around the conflicts and differences between both siblings. The conflict between siblings was the primary reason why I did not find this film funny or saw any humor to it. Firstly, the film’s cheap humor is portrayed through Jill where the standards of a female persona were lowered. This is evident as Jill is often needy, helpless, likes to be the center of attention, and has no filter in which she speaks her mind out. I did not agree to this, as this is not an ideal or pleasant image to give to a woman. In addition, she shows her neediness and helplessness as she longs spending sometime with her twin brother; however, she over exaggerates things and wants to do things with her brother that they use to do when they were kids. I personally think that it is ok to hug your siblings and show them some affection however; Jill takes this affection to another level and wants to cuddle in bed with her twin brother like old times. In addition, the intended audience is identical twins and can also be related to brother and sister siblings. Furthermore, there are two types of humor that are portrayed throughout the film, Slapstick and sophomoric humor. Moreover, the plot of the movie was not bad; however, the cheap jokes and themes portrayed such as the role of female character being offended and dishonored, various stereotypes were seen throughout the film, and inequality to gender role made the film more offensive and distasteful instead of humorous and fun. This being said, Jack and Jill is a film not worth time or money and I would not recommend

In this movie, you see the horrific effects that can take place to you and the people that closest to you, George was apart of the war on drugs and it caught up to him quick. He moves to California as a child in which he became wealthy for selling marijuana and expands his market but eventually you see him turn careless and gets caught by the police. George ends up meeting a man named Diego Delgado in jail, and was now introduced to the drug Cocaine, which was now a way for him to become wealthy again, be became a cocaine dealer.
The original film has a lot of things going for it. It has a lot of comedic heavyweights in it, like Ted Knight, Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield, Brian Doyle-Murray, and Chevy Chase. The film is a winner with all of its quotable dialogue, great characters, and slapstick humor. In the sequel, only Chevy Chase returned after a lot of pushing on the studio 's part. It was a needless sequel that should not have been made.
Amy Heckerling’s movie Clueless focuses on an upper middle class 16-year-old girl, Cher, who lives in a nice neighborhood with her father and stepbrother, Josh. Cher and her friend, Dionne, take in a new girl, Tai, to help her fit into their high school. All of the major characters in the movie are in adolescence, which ranges from 10-19 years of age. I also think that most of the jokes in the movie were hit-or-miss. The good funny jokes balanced out the less successful ones. Basically, the parodies of The Ring and Signs were hilarious, but I definitely could have dealt without anything pertaining to 8 Mile or The President. These jokes just were not funny; they did not seem to blend very well with the other movies. In the first two of the series, the jokes were coming at you constantly.
For my final essay, I have chosen the movie “Fatal Attraction”, and I will focus on Alex Forrest and her mental disorder. Borderline Personality was displayed in the movie and Alex had almost every symptom of this disorder. Happy is a documentary that brings to light the different types of livings of people around the world and contrasts how they define happiness. The movie starts out in Kolkata Slum, India, with a man Manoj Singh. Manoj is living a relatively impoverished life. His house isn’t the best, in fact the roof is just a tarp however he says “my home is good.” Manoj is quite happy with his life and it’s not because of his minimal possessions but the community around him. His happiness lies in the fact that he can see his son smiling every day and he is so grateful for his neighbors and friends. He even states himself that he doesn’t consider himself as “poor but the richest person.” Manoj’s happiness is described as the same as the average American.

The film, Of Two Minds, is based on real life accounts of individuals living with bipolar disorder. Before watching this film, I had an idea of what bipolar disorder is , but after viewing this film I was completely mistaken. Previously, I thought being bipolar was going from a “normal” mood to an angry or sad mood in a matter of seconds and could be simply fixed by taking medicine. But my previous thoughts were completely wrong and bipolar disorder is very serious and complicated. I didn’t know the severity of this disease and I think a lot of the general public is uneducated about bipolar disorder as well as mental illness. Terri Cheney describes having bipolar disorder as, “Take the best day you ever had and multiply it by a million, it 's like a flu but one hundred times worse. It 's having flu in your mind."

The movie, Fifty Shades of Grey, portrayals its dominant ideology sexuality through the story between two main characters: a female literature student named Anastasia Steele, and a young male billionaire Christian Grey. In this movie, it indicates strong traditional heterosexuality, and it reflects the gender roles about submission and dominance, which leads to gender inequality through misinformation. Although entertaining and refreshing, this movie brings more negative impacts more than positive ones.
Just as the relationships depicted within the film are complex and complicated, so are relationships in real life. The name of the film It’s Complicated pretty much speaks for itself. It is a romantic comedy that addresses some really important sexual issues. The reason why I chose this film is because it displays a new perspective on relationships. Choosing this movie made me step out of my comfort zone. When most people think about sexuality, they think about young people. Very seldom does one equate sexuality with older people. In the film, It’s Complicated, it shows the complexity of relationships between middle-aged people. I thought that would be more interesting than choosing a film that showed human sexuality between the average young couple.
