Life has been a long journey over these past seventeen years, and it has had countless ups and downs. Despite that, however, I have really enjoyed this life so far and am really proud of the person I’m becoming. Like everyone else, there are a few things that I would change if I could. However, I am primarily happy with who I am and how I see my future. There are many things that have influenced me, but one of the most important ones that come to my mind is hunting. It has given me a very big love for both nature and the outdoors, and has made me really love fishing, going to the lake, or just walking around in the woods as well. I also love a variety of different animals, my favorite being dogs. Hunting has also helped me be as competitive as I am, maybe even more than baseball has. Hunting is the biggest competition in all of sports, the hunter is literally trying to outsmart another animal on the basis of survival, and he is trying to do this in the animal’s habitat. It is a big mind game and takes a lot of smarts, but it also takes the confidence and cool to do it under pressure when the adrenaline is high. This has helped to make me into a hard worker and also made me very good at doing things under pressure. Hunting is very hard, and sometimes it may take weeks to bring down the deer that the hunter has been trying to take. However, this has taught me patience and a lot of perseverance, and has shown me how great the pride feels after putting my blood, sweat and tears into a goal and seeing such great results first hand. Lastly, hunting helped me grow up very quickly, quicker than a normal kid would. When a person is sitting in a deer stand by himself at a very young age at 4:00 in the morning in the pitch black and he has no clue what’s around, he overcomes a lot of fears very quickly. It really helps that I have had a few activities in my life, and it is a good idea for anyone to try to find a couple activities they can and really get involved in them to help teach them lessons as well as to help them enjoy themselves and be active in life. “People do not choose to be poor or working class; instead, they are limited and confined by the opportunities afforded or denied them by a social economic system.
