The Strengths Of Lady Gaga's Role Model

Stefani had a good up bringing with a family that cared for that and really helped push her to musical goals. One thing I think she was really missing in her family that she had to look outside for was a role model. No one was like her and that meant she had to find someone outside of the family to look up to and this ended up being rockstars. A reason I say it was rock stars is because she states her love for people like Queen and John Lennon for giving her the motivation to live on when times were hard. This had a major effect on the rest of her life because it gave into her taste in music and gave a foundation on what to build Lady Gaga on.

Having a best guess at a person’s categories is better than having nothing for them in my book. When talking about the psychoanalytic theory the problem that we are not professionals and do not have masters in psychology means that we can not correctly identify a person. We can only give our best guess, based on research we have conducted combined with what we have learned in class. A strength of psychoanalytic theory is some of the items like defense mechanisms and the psychosexual stages have a great deal based on a person 's childhood and other past experiences. Because of this we can look at Lady Gaga’s childhood and give a very educated guess to that the defense mechanism could be or what psychosexual stage she is in. That then leads us to more conversation about Lady Gaga and only giving us a greater understanding of both the theory and Lady Gaga in that theory. The last theories are the Individual, Relational, and Psychosocial theories. For me this was the hardest to apply to Lady Gaga and I think this was because of the nature of the theories. I had to really look deep at her childhood to try and pick out details that I think would lead to concepts of family constellation.
