Illegal immigration has remained a topic of political debate over the past years. While illegal immigration has been repeatedly debated, the issue has not been solved. Presidential Candidate, Donald Trump, has sparked controversy when he proposed plans to deal with illegal immigration. Mr. Trump plans include: the deportation of 11 million illegal immigrants along with the construction of a wall between the Mexican-American border. If elected Mr. Trump’s would harm the United States rather than help the country. One of Mr. Trump’s plan to deal with immigration is the mass deportation of 11 million undocumented immigrants. It is also abruptly armful to the U.S economy. Out of the 11 million undocumented people around 6.8 million are employed by different industries. According to the same research done by the American Action Forum, “The economy is projected to produce $18.7 trillion in goods and services. But 6.8 million undocumented immigrants are employed, and removing them from the country all at once would reduce that output by somewhere between $381.5 to $623.2 billion”. Even though it is known that illegal immigrants work low skilled jobs. Construction, agricultural, and many other jobs would be hit hard if mass deportation were to happen. Trump continues to use words such as humane and fair to defend his immigration plans. A number of people have questioned whether these are the correct words to be used in order to justify mass deportation and a wall being built between two allied countries. While illegal immigration should be an issues that should be dealt with. Mr. Trump’s plan to deal with immigration is not only expensive but also poisonous to the united states. The plans that Donald Trump has proposed go against what the United States believes in. There is no humane way to remove 11 million people out of a country they call home.
