As a writer, I would consider myself to be an average writer in need of improvement. My experience with writing has not always been the best because I was exposed to only certain types of papers like self-narratives, book reports, reflective essays and simple one to two-page research on a person’s bibliography assigned to me. Writing has never been my strength because I had to learn the English language at 8 years of age. I had to learn a new language without the help of my parents because they also did not speak English. I was able to overcome this obstacle but till this day, I still have some grammatical struggles. It is hard for me to write and to be able to distinguish my grammatical errors. I did the same steps outside of the classroom and would make them be due a certain date that I had set for myself. I felt that my method of writing did work for me because earned an “A” on the assignment. It helped me keep track of what I was doing and keep pace on when the due date and not having to do the work the night before. The technique of doing the graphs separately and later bringing them together to create the final version of the paper. This method was really helpful in having a successful grade. This assignment gave me the opportunity to liberate my feelings about the conflict with my aunt how was accusing me of robbery. I was able to reflect upon this conflict and tell my side of the story. It made me feel free and free of judgment. Writing about my family conflict helped me with the forgiveness to those people that had caused me harm. It was an assignment that helped me heal from the inside and help release the anger I had towards my
