Per Kevin R I have pasted 2 essays, when I started the application I was in the undergraduate field and wrote my essay 's based on the undergraduate application essay request. Thank you, Tena 1st Essay; I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal LORD and Savior at the young age of 5; I followed my salvation in Baptism. I grew up in a Fundamental Baptist teaching home and church and attended Christian schools through most of my schooling. My church, my parents and my school taught salvation only happens with the acceptance of Christ our as our personal Savior through the blood Jesus shed on the Cross. I was praying and searching for a church when I saw a van with Lighthouse Baptist Church listed on the side. I used Google to find the church’s website where I reviewed their doctrine and mission statement. They are a fundamental Bible teaching Baptist church that teaches salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ so I took down the address and planned to attend their Sunday morning service. The first Sunday I was a bit discouraged to find they were a small church, I was looking for somewhere I could blend in and attend church but not be noticed. We were all singing at the start of the service when I thought, “God, this is NOT what I am looking for so I will stay today and then try another church next Sunday, I promise.” Little did I know God had other plans, Pastor Johnson started talking about a family that needed prayer for their young son with a rare intestine disease that required surgery and a colostomy bag. I have always struggled on how to know what God’s will is for me. In that service I knew God’s will. I continue to be challenged by Pastor Johnson to continue my walk with God through daily prayer and studying the Bible for the lessons God has for us. It is through this daily prayer and meditation in His word that I have been growing in my faith and daily walk with God. I have clearly seen where He is working in my life and in the life of others through me. He recently opened a door at work that I thought was closed. His timing is perfect and in His timing I also feel He is prompting me to pursue a degree in Health Care Administration at CCU. I first contacted your University in May 2011 through the KLOVE radio station however I did not have the faith in God I needed to take on this exciting challenge. I am excited to see where God is leading me in this next chapter of my walk with Him. 2nd Essay; Romans 12: 1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
