Writer's Block Strengths

Strengths and weaknesses, we all have a list of them.

It is a typical stereotype that some people are just born with natural talent for a certain thing, whether it be a sport or a subject in school. I believe that stereotype couldn’t be more wrong. Becoming perfect at something takes time and effort. In reading and writing in particular, I believe I am still learning in the subject. Some of the weaknesses I posses in reading and writing include the fact that sometimes I use the wrong punctuations and sometimes grammar. Another would be the fact that more often than sometimes I experience what I heard is called, “writer’s block”. When I would get an essay back in high school there was always at least one correction in grammar that my teacher had to let me know about. Often times, I believe it’s the fact that when I have a burst of ideas I tend to want to put all down as fast as possible. I know that shouldn’t be an excuse however. So part of this weakness would also be the fact that I need to learn to go back more than once to correct any mistakes. Another weakness is writer’s block. I’m not quite sure that this can be counted as a weakness but I believe in my case it should be. When I experience writer’s block I believe it wastes too much time that can be used to correct my work. I tend to have to do something else unrelated to ease my mind and feel a bit more light and able to come up with more ideas. Honestly, I believe this weakness is worse than the previous weakness I mentioned because of the time that it consumes. Although I have weaknesses that can possibly slow me down in the subject, a strength that I do have is the fact that I’m open to learning new things. The fact that I’m always open to learning new things can help me overcome the weaknesses that I do have. I believe the more I learn, the more my weaknesses will tend to not matter because they will soon become almost nonexistent. That is exactly what I want, for my weaknesses to no longer be
