If a five year old boy already thinks that girls “don’t play footy” Where are we going wrong? And what are we teaching our children?

Argument 2 - As the womens competition grows, more and more women will participate as coaches and administrators.
Those who support the new womens AFL will argue that as the competition progresses, women will now be more involved in coaching and administrating within the competition.

This competition will encourage females to love and be involved in the sport just as much as the boys are. Collingwood’s operation manager, Meg Hutchins said “We want to help develop women coaches and help then reach their potential.”
Facts show thats football is one of the top ten sports females play and about 151,000 of them play football every week.

Currently most of AFLs coaches and administrators have been all male, women need to show what they are also capable of doing, and doing what they enjoy.
Having women coaching and administrating will help the AFLs womens league to grow and get more supporters over the next upcoming years.
