Has it ever crossed your mind what you would like to do in the near future? What was your reasoning for choosing this occupation? Most people choose a career because of the high wages and benefits that come with being an employee. Do you ever feel like one job deserves higher wages than another? I believe that entertainers and athletes should not be given high salaries. The reason why I think they should be given low salaries is because they don’t risk their lives while working, and an entertainer is not as important as lifesaving employees. One of the reasons I believe entertainers shouldn’t be given high salaries is because their jobs aren’t an endangerment to their lives. Soldiers and policemen risk their lives every day to protect the people of our nation. The wages they are paid do not compare to their sacrifices, whereas an entertainer, may receive up to several millions of dollars for a single performance. I would much rather see a man of high honor receive several millions of dollars in a year than a man who helps raise the bills on our televisions. …show more content…

We would all be able to live a healthy life without actors, comedians, sports teams, and reality stars. These men and women deserve payment but shouldn’t receive more than lifesaving employees. We need to be able to know these people have the money they need to help provide us with our necessities. Medicine, food, homes, and the feeling of security are what these men and women help provide. They deserve more money because their jobs help us acquire the essentials for a healthy lifestyle.
