Why kids should get paid for good grades
Would you pay your child for getting good grades?, or would you like to get paid for your good grades? Parents have payed their children for their proficiency several times, and people are starting to realize what a magnificent idea this is. People believe that this can make kids try harder and it can help them gain more knowledge. Others think this could be an unsuitable theory because it makes kids only want to learn for the money. In my opinion, paying kids for good grades is an excellent suggestion.

In many ways this is true because without them getting anything in return, there is nothing that provides the person into doing it. Money stimulates children to work hard in school because they will want to do the best they can so they get the best result possible, and at the end, get rewarded not just with the money, but with a better possibility of doing well in the future. About 75% of students don't like trying hard in school because they feel like they aren't getting anywhere and that it is just a waste if their time. The money will encourage kids to work hard, and they will then realize that school is not as bad as they think. Lastly, kids will learn that work actually pays off. They will realize that when you work hard and put effort, you will always get something good back in return. In “Grades and Money,” Steven Vogel makes it clear that he is disappointed and frustrated with what grades have become. He believes that grades have become commoditized and that students’ grades suffer because of their relation with money. Vogel also believes that students no longer take any risk with their education. I agree with Vogel that grades are being equated to money by students, that students’ work suffers because of grades, and that students no longer take risks in their educational process.

Students brought up in a system of incentives get accustomed working for grades. So yes. It works for many students to motivate work. But if "working" means learning, these external incentives teach the students the wrong thing to aim at, the wrong reason for doing it, and often the wrong way to do it. If we are hoping our students will be life-long learners, why would they continue learn in the grade-less post-graduation world? (Schwartz, 2011)
There has always been a lot of debate on whether or not college athletes should get paid. With as much money as college sports makes from these student athletes, should these student athletes be getting paid? There are many different stances on why I feel like these student athletes should be getting paid. I will talk about some of the reasons on why they should get paid. There are more than 420 thousand student athletes in the NCAA. They all play a lot of different sports football,basketball,soccer. The athletes play a lot of different sports and some of them go to the professional and some do not . The average Football Bowl Subdivision Player is paid 137,357 per year, and the men's basketball player gets paid 289,031per year. The players earns just $23,204 in scholarship money to go to there college that is not enough to pay for all there needs. That will barely pay for books and food and everything they need to keep their hygiene good . Then they will have to save all there money all year long they get there next check for the year. College students deserve to be making money for playing sports. However, people think that they already get rewarded with education, but that is not enough. As earlier implied, college is not for everyone and Isabel Sawhill and Stephanie Owen display that well in their essay, “Should Everyone Go to College?.” Owen and Sawhill say that people are actually doing some individuals a disservice by telling them everyone needs to go to college (Page 209, Para 1). In “Should Everyone Go to College?” they say this because they think it is necessary that people think about their likely education path and career path before investing so much money and time into secondary education (Page 212, Para 1). This is true, people should not invest a lot of their self before they have thought about where they want this to lead them.
