William Shakespeare is very well known around the world for his work that was written a little over 400 years ago. Shakespeare is mainly known for his success with the play Romeo and Juliet but was also known for Hamlet and Macbeth. Throughout his career he wrote 37 plays and 150 sonnets and his personal life he was married to Anne Hathaway and had a couple kids with her. In this essay I will be talking about Romeo and Juliet in the 9th grade curriculum. Shakespeare is still very relevant today because his plays and characters portray problems that affect all people in the world. “His ability to speak to audiences around the world is undimmed “ The great thing about Shakespeare is that he speaks to everyone”(Washington Post 378)”.
