My purpose for writing this essay is to inform the reader why I chose to go to Penta Career Center, and what I hope to do after high school. I ended up making my final decision to come to Penta Career Center near the middle of my Sophomore year at Swanton High School, I was originally planning to go for the Welding or Advanced Manufacturing programs. Unfortunately the Welding program was at its capacity and was no longer taking applicants. Second, Advanced Manufacturing was vastly eclipsed by my curiosity for the Powersports and Engine Systems program. Powersports and Engine Systems or more widely referred to as just Powersports is a career program ended up being the path I chose to set myself on at Penta. I have always had a massive interest
Therefore, I learned at the end of the interview that this career that I chose to pursue is very diverse. Meaning, there are endless routes, that branches out from this one field of study. The possibilities are endless; however, hard work is still expected. This interview did not reshape my objectives and goals. It has rather made me realize to stick to my goals and objectives. It has reminded me, to continue to be the best; by learning from the best and surrounding myself with the best.
Subsequently what is done is that selected high schools develop a curriculum that is organized around a specific career cluster, which are like a specialized charter school. The goal is to feature a series advanced “pathway” courses that can help students to enrich their knowledge through work-based learning and academics. In turn, this specialized education will allow student to demonstrate their understanding through assessments and industry credentialing opportunities. As well these schools are enrolled in a learning exchange that have partnerships that are organized to support the programs of study by coordinating statewide networks of education partners, businesses, industry associations, labor, and other organizations (2013, p. 21-23). Consequently, the program is driven to help high school students develop a career path and to receive exploratory education that will given them an advantage in either college endeavors or in the job market.
Career Academy is an on-campus program where students are encouraged to participate in courses and activities that will prepare them for future careers. Students work towards earning a diploma through the creation of a portfolio. The curriculum is broad and integrative, drawing on each student’s unique needs and skills.
Throughout this course, topics such as the transition from high school to college, learning skills, self-discovery, and career exploration have been discussed. Conversations occurred concerning the challenges and benefits of private and public colleges as well as the transition from high school to college. We also talked about our strengths and weaknesses while studying. Finally we talked about the jobs that we wanted, and the jobs we would be good at. During the rest of this paper, I will go into more detail about the topics we discussed; and go more in detail with what I learned.
It is a cliché to say that I don’t know what I want to become in the future but in my case, after attending to Lone Star College, my plan for the future straightened out. How did an educational experience help me in college? Why did I attend Lone Star College and how has it benefitted me now? Well, I will tell you why I made the best decision attending Lone Star College and how that has directed me in the path I am at today.

Teenagers nowadays have the stress and pressure when it comes to their future. Often kids are afraid to grow up. Then given the choice, teens are not always aware of all the options. One way to help is when children or teens are growing up, have the child introduced to different fields. Frequently when asked what a teenage wants to pursue, one will find the teen has absolutely no idea. However, for me, this is not the case. It may be the events of my childhood that have helped me gain an interest. Since I was a little kid, I have wanted to become a nurse. For this paper that career was my first option. I did research and found a different career that spoke to me more than a Registered Nurse did. I found an occupation along the Nursing lines, but O felt worked better with what I want. I found a PA.
I’m a student at Tompkins Cortland Community College this is my first semester as a college student. I plan to go to college for four years and only be at TC3 for this one semester, then transfer to a four year school. College has grown around the world more than ever and more people are attending college more than ever. I have chosen to go to college because of the rewards after graduation. Yes it is another four years of school but by getting more education and an extended degree gives me more opportunities for better jobs and more money. The career I have chosen to study is business administration. I am hoping that it takes me to a great job managing a company or possibly being an accountant.
There is so much to be offered at ________________ University for people like me, such as intramural soccer and basketball, environmental and study clubs, and the honors college. As I’m not sure what career I’d like to pursue for the rest of my life, I’m excited to be able to explore my options in college. I am both eager and nervous to start the next chapter of my life down the unique path of my own choice. Another successful choice I have made for myself during this stage of life is that I have set my goal for myself of what I need to accomplish which is getting my masters degree in science and becoming a Respiratory Therapist in order to do that I have started my schooling at Oakton Community College to earn my associate's degree. After that I will be transferring to DePaul University to pursue my master’s degree and end my college journey. With all the independence and freedom that recent high school graduates possess, they should carefully ponder the possible options that exist. Through abiding by the “check the destination before the ticket is purchased” adage, high school graduates can competently guide their personal journeys in college life or the real world. Regardless of the path chosen, college students and those who immediately enter the workforce will ultimately decide their future destinations. In addition, while graduates pursue their dreams, goals must be set and diligently fostered. The necessity of a college and/or career game plan is crucial, and should not be disregarded. Before Dr. King ended his “I Have a Dream” speech he declared, “Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning.” Similarly, high school graduation is not a finish line, but a starting gun.
I am Careena Loy and in this essay I am going to conclude talking about my high school experience. Through my past education I went through good and bad experiences where it me to struggle now through college. I also learned things out of school that made me who I am today. I will also be sharing the ways I have been praised because of my hard work and it has got me to where I am right now. Overall, high school was not a good experience for me just because there was a lot of drama and I wanted to be in college already with mature adults.
In pondering what my life will be like when I am finished with college, I have to consider the rapid life-changing events and choices that I am facing now at the age of 17. In a short span of time I have had to make a decision about my future career and, based on that decision, choose where I would go to college. I realize that I am in a crucial part of my life now, and that the commitments I make today will drastically affect my status ten years from now.
In this essay the goal is to help get a clearer idea of why I am deciding to transfer schools and why I have chosen the University of Miami. Not only that but also to understand where I am coming from and who I am. Throughout my schooling, I always excelled in the top classes in high school and was in enriched sciences and high math.
