Why Do Students Should Have Less Homework

Is a “pile” of homework enough for kids? Kids like me have no time for homework and every single day kids get a “pile” of homework to do after school. I’m not saying that kids should have no homework at all but less homework will do. On a regular weekday, students like me go to school for 6 hours and are given a 2 hour homework which is the total of 8 hours a day. Children everyday are using half of their day on school related stuff, but no matter what you do, teachers just keep stacking homework everyday. Is homework even useful? Students should have less homework because they will be less stressed, have more time for other activities, and homework is not an effective way for us to learn. 6-7 hours is enough for kids, but is 2 hour of homework really necessary? Students everyday, are stressed out because of the homework they have to do. Instead of having time to relax, kids have to do a lot of homework. Is homework even helping us learn? The homework, teachers give us everyday is not changing anything about what we are learning. For instance, if teachers gave no homework or less homework, students will still be learning at school. So homework is basically not helping us learn anything new but just learn the same thing, so what is the point of homework.
