There are many do’s and do not’s in the everyday life. The do’s of the world are, try your hardest, work to your potential, be respectful to others, and treat people the way you want to be treated. The do not’s are be a racist, treat others unfairly, be disrespectful, be violent, and be destructive. Much like there are do’s and do not’s in everyday life there are do’s and do not’s in government as well. Why did governments form in the first place? Governments formed for a variety of reasons. They formed in order to survive, to regulate, distribute and gather resources, and to solve problems. There are many forms of authority that have been seen throughout history. These include, traditional, charismatic, and legal authority. Traditional authority is generally dominated by patriarchy and religion. The earliest none governments (clans and tribes) were patriarchal along with some matriarchal societies around the world. Religion has played a key factor in authority and power for centuries. The pope the leader of the catholic church was given his power by the authority of god whom in cultures around the world is the most powerful being in existence with unlimited authority. Charismatic authority has played a major part in the 20th and 21st century. That being said charismatic authority is based on charisma, otherwise known as appeal. Charismatic authority has led to the rise of people like Adolf Hitler, where he is given absolute power because they people adore him. Legal authority is based on constitutions. Our governments authority comes from a constitution. In both examples of religious authority and charismatic there was one person in power. Governments must be able to successfully feed and protect their citizens without overly consuming resources. With that being said they must plant and restore all the resources they use. In terms of how a government operates no person or branch of government should have complete control over the state. In order for governments to be effective they must put their citizens first rather then take care of other countries citizens. The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few in terms of a effective government. Government formed to face these problems and they have not always been solved effectively. There have been many failures in solving problems such as Germany post World war 1 where their economy was in ruin and there multiple governments within a few dozen years. This was solved effectively by weaponizing and rearming their country to boost their economy. If a government is going to form they need to be able to effectively solve these problems without making more problems in the process. Although this is a good thought process governments by the second rule of thermodynamics are subjected to entropy. That being said how ever much energy a government puts into one area more energy will be needed to fill another, in order to solve this they need to solve problems effectively and with as little energy as
