Have you ever thought to yourself who is responsible for the sinking of the Titanic?” Well many people have wrote something about who is to blame for sinking of the Titanic. It has been a mystery of who is held responsible for this action. So let’s find out. Many people say Smith is responsible for the sinking of the Titanic because Smith as the captain, he was ignoring the ice warnings, the captain was also putting the boat on full speed and did not answer the phone calls on the ship. A common argument against this position is that captain Smith is not responsible for the sinking of the Titanic because some peoples at its not his fault because he wasn’t the one who made the ship and had a fourth smokestack just for show. Yet, they got warnings about icebergs up ahead and ignored them. The articles says, “ Did you acknowledge the message? Yes they told the operator but he told them to shut up, or stand by, because they were busy”. This proves, that maybe since Smith knew about the watertight compartments he thought everything would be fine if they hit something, although it should have been acknowledged that the calls were important for the safety of him and everyone
