Recommended: The role of ancient gods

DeepMind’s AlphaGo is the first computer program to be able to defeat the world champion at the ancient Chinese game of Go. AlphaGo Zero is the newest and strongest version of AlphaGo, which is introduced to the public on 2017 October 17. Despite that AlphaGo Zero is arguably the strongest Go player in history, it still will not go beyond god. This is due to the fact that although AlphaGo Zero is the latest evolution of AlphaGo, it is not the last indicating that it can be defeated by its evolution; also in many belief systems, god is believed to be omnipotence, illustrating that it is undefeatable; and unlike god, the only trait AlphaGo Zero has is intelligence. As a result, AlphaGo will never go beyond god.

Although monotheism and polytheism are two very different type of religions, they both agree on the fact that god(s) has unlimited power, knows everything, and can always see what each individual living creature has done or is doing. As a result, it is very clear that AlphaGo Zero is not as strong as the god. For instance, referring to Greek Mythology, Zeus can control the sky, Poseidon can control earthquakes, the sea, and horses, Hades can control death and riches, and Hera can control marriages.
But AlphaGo Zero does not have unlimited power which can control the natures. It is only a genius that has the ability to play the Chinese Go game. Furthermore, it also does not know every single detail about each living creature, nor have the knowledge about everything including the things that even humans can not explain. As a result, since God is all powerful, it is very clear that AlphaGo Zero or its future evolution can defeat the …show more content…

Firstly, AlphaGo Zero does not have supernatural powers like god(s). Secondly, God is a being that is similar to a leader. It is not just powerful, but it can also make decisions and identify what is wrong and what is right. AlphaGo Zero only has intelligence, and neither does it have the ability to become our leader, or tell what is good and what is bad. Additionally, god(s) is a being that has feelings and will reciprocate the kind people and will punish the evil. AlphaGo Zero is an AI which does not have any feelings. This illustrates that it can not feel thankful or a need to do something in return for the people that have done good deeds or feel the want to punish and stop the evil. Hence, AlphaGo Zero can not become our leader, or go beyond
