During the western expansion of the US, it impacted the Native Americans. This impacted their culture and land. This changed their way of life. This expansion changed their culture and took their land from them. The first way Native Americans were impacted by western expansion was in their land. In 1850-70, Indians lost most their land due to gold rush and settlement (Doc. 1). This made the US remove the Native Americans to make the land available to settlers.
