Through everything Disney has struggled with they have overcame it, for example when Walt Disney died on December 15th,1996 at 65 years old from lung cancer, he had been working on The Jungle Book (1967). Roy Died in 1971 and for the next decade the company was led by a team including Card Walker, Donn Tatum, and Ron Milled. Disney World was not something that was thought of in one day. Walt Disney began in 1964 secretly buying land. He brought millions of dollars worth of farmland in Central Florida. Walt would buy vast areas of land all at once for sky high prices. It was not until November 15,1965 that Walt Disney announced his plans to build on of the largest theme parks. Within 2-years of his announcement Walt Disney employed 9,000 people to start construction on the park. In the next few years property all around the future theme park was getting grabbed up by hotels and restaurateurs the land was going for millions at a
Before Walt made it to the top, he had to start at the bottom, as a commercial artist. He soon started to make his way up and even started coming out with his own movies, such as, Steamboat Willy in 1928, Snow White in 1938 and much later, the famous Sleeping Beauty in 1959(History.com/this day in history/disneyland opens). Now we’ve all heard and seen these movies, but how did the these movies turn into huge amusement parks that are featured around the world? Well, every single Disney movie that has ever been made has a role in a Disney park. For example, Cinderella’s castle at Disneyworld and Sleeping Beauty’s at DisneyLand. Speaking of the parks, DisneyLand in California was opened on July 17th,1955(History.com/this day in history/disneyland opens). I personally have never been here, but I hear there's just so much to do in such little time. I mean how can you explore 160 acres in just a few days?(History.com/ this day in history/disneyland opens). Now, I don’t know
Disney's next big hit was on November 13th 1940 when he released one of its first highly adored originals Fantasia in color. Fantasia is an extraordinary movie. Out of 216 it is 58th in top all time Disney movies. This makes it one of the best. It is about a Sorcerer's Apprentice who is played by Mickey. On February 5th 1953 Peter Pan was released. Peter Pan shows what life is like to be a kid and never wanting to grow up. On July 17th 1955 the first Disney park open in Anaheim California to an invited audience. This was a great day in Disney history. Shortly after the opening in the Park Walt Disney passed away at age 65. Walt Disney made it possible to turn dreams into reality, and building the Walt Disney Company. And again on December 20th 1971 the co-founder Roy.O.Disney passed away. He was Walt's older brother. Walt and his brothers dreams and imagination had opened a number of parks. On March 28th 1987 the first Disney store opened. It was a huge hit, and stayed around for a while. Later in Disney history on April 18th 1994 The Beauty and The Beast was performed on broadway for the first time in New York. That was the first Disney broadway show. And Disney didn’t stop there. It went on to June 15 1994 when the Lion King opened in theaters in Los Angeles and NYC. It later went worldwide on June 24th 1994. On October 1st 1995 the official disney channel
Before Disney World opened, Walt went through the processes of finding land and location, buying it and finally creating and building Disney World. The process of creating Disney World all started in 1958 when Walt Disney started his economic research for another Disney theme park (Polsson, 2015). In 1963 Roy Disney's lawyer Robert Foster agreed to the proposal and then stealthily bought out over 5,000 acres of land (Polsson, 2015). On April 15th, 1964 Robert Foster started to buy land in central Florida under the name Robert Price to keep his identity secret (Polsson, 2015).
In my opinion Walt Disney is arguably the greatest children’s company on the planet. The mere mention of the company’s name can inspire the imagination of millions of children to dream amazing things. Disney in general has created more of a culture. It has impacted people’s lives for many generations. Because of this culture, Disneyland has been successful no matter how expensive the park is or the products they sell in retail. They have found a way to impact peoples lives no matter what age you are or what culture you're from. The company has continues to grow and profits have become even greater than Walt Disney himself ever thought it would be. Fiscal year 2016 was the sixth consecutive year of record results, highlighted by the opening
Maintaining Disney at the top level is no easy task, much time and effort was needed to develop Disney into the big corporation they are today. Since their establishment in the theme park industry, Disney has received much credit regarding their approach to the general American population. Disney’s behavior over time accurately reflect their success through their values , their innovation and their customer service. Because of this, Disney continues to improve, expand and gain more influence over other theme parks in the United States.

I think Walt Disney was very successful because he failed at first, then never gave up on trying and succeeded the second time around. Disney’s goal was to bring families together for good, happy times. So, he decided to design Disneyland. Disneyland was a place for families to go and have great quality time together with their kids, other family members, and friends. Disneyland opened first in California on July 17, 1955. By 2005, there came to be five different Disneyland's across the world.
Walt Disney was born in Chicago and started his career as a starting cartoonist (History.com Staff,2009). A co-owned company in Kansas City went bankrupt. Walt was depressed. Laugh-O-Gram Films is where Walt and his friend had made the animations. The Disney brothers had a few thousand dollars which they borrowed. Threw all that work, they now have an empire Walt Disney Company. The Walt Disney Company makes their money on theme parks, record labels, film studios, cruise line, radio networks, and publishing. They make about 34 billion a year. Because of their development, they are still famous for Mickey Mouse, their animated character (Bodden, V,2009).
