Violent video games make people more aggressive
“The Pew Research Center reported in 2008 that 97% of youths ages 12 to 17 played some type of video game, and that two-third of them played action and adventure games that tend to contain violent content (Harvard Mental Health, 2010)”. After this occurred, parents were worried about the impacts of violent video games on their children. However, some people claim that everyone knows that no one actually gets killed in violent games. Renee Stafford in the essay Harvard Mental Health argues that children have negative reactions to violent media. In the essay “Violent Video Games Stress People Out and Make Them More Aggressive” by Youssef et al, he states that “As expected, participants who played a violent game were more stress than were participants who played a nonviolent game” (Youssef, 2013). This means video games make people more stress. Furthermore, the stress will increase people’s aggression. Unfortunately, the result show that “violent level of people who play violent game significantly higher than as violent as most.”(2009). These strong evidences prove that violent video games make people more stress and stress make people more aggression, so violent video games contribute to people’s aggression
