The law enforcement and criminal justice career field is full of work opportunities for many different personality types. The job that is best for people with intense, determined personalities would have to be an FBI agent. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is a law enforcement agency that conducts investigations into federal law violations and is primarily responsible for law enforcement. “The FBI maintains a number of investigative programs, including the following: Counterintelligence, counterterrorism, public corruption, organized crime, white-collar crime, violent crime, background investigations, violent gangs, fugitives, art crime, civil rights, cybercrime, indian country, and environmental crime. The agents are responsible for many things, such as conducting undercover operations and investigating suspected drug trafficking, organized crime and terrorist organizations, extortion, and various types of fraud” (FBI Agent, 2014).

For this assignment I was having difficult time getting an informational interview in the documentaries production industry. Therefore, I interview three individual who are in the career field of information technology, senate, and accounting. I just asking them basic questions since I couldn’t get to specific with my career that focus on the production industry. Therefore, I ask them questions and advices that they would give a college school who have graduation or wo is going to graduation next year. My chosen career to research is law enforcement officer. I used a variety of sources on the internet to gather information about this career path/position including an face-to-face interview with a military law enforcement officer. A list of sources I utilized are: O*Net, OHH/DOT, USAjobs.gov, dice.com, internship.com, glassdoor.com, and careeronestop.org. I discovered throughout the vocational planning course, I realized that I am very interested in the protective services field and that my skills would be best suited in the particular industry of law enforcement as a police officer or military police officer.
I would say independently I was able to trust to an extent that what I was doing was correct and my results. I did find myself comparing and sharing with others to stay on the safe side and also found I had to restart quite a lot of times due to error until I got it which was time consuming and used time which I did not really have to use. I can say that I think a vast majority of my results would be correct and right and only a few to be a little off. I came to realise that working independent is good but I would say that I would work better in a team as I am able to compare and have help from others. So a future improvement of being better at independent work and making sure I fully understand something before I start so that if mistakes do get made then I can understand why and what to do better next time.
An instance of an organizational problem that I have experienced is when my company made the transition from a paper filing system to an electronic filing system. There were many difficulties that emerged when the company began to make the transition to this new filing system. There was a lack of distinct leadership, poor training, severe miscommunication, and employee resistance. These problems could have been mitigated or avoided had organizational behavior been taken into account.
When we were first given this assignment I had not put much consideration into it. I thought we were to ask a couple of questions, it would all work itself out and I would be done. But this was not the case. The thought and reflection put into interview questions really surprised me. There was far more factors other than the questions you were asking, because you were also dealing with people, people who are giving you there free time, their attention and opening themselves up to you a stranger, so there were far more responsibilities then what were initially at hand.

Interviewing is one of the most difficult clinical skills to master. Both intellectual and emotional skills are required when conducting an interview. The first step of a successful interview is setting the stage for the interview. The first minutes should be to meet and greet the patient. This provides some assurance and comfort to the patient. When meeting the patient for the first time, establishing a positive rapport so that the patient will feel at ease to discuss the issue that warranted the visit is of high priority. It is important to greeting and welcomes the patient using their name. Introducing self and identifying one’s specific role and the time limits of the interview. Make sure the patient is ready and their privacy is maintained. It is important to conduct the interview in a quiet and private environment. (Seidel, Ball, Dains, Flynn, Solomon, & Stewart, 2011).
Talk about any job or any country, people are always concerned about motivation and they struggle at their workplace. People are often moved by external factors such as reward systems, grades, evaluations, or the opinions they fear others might have of them. Yet just as frequently, people are motivated from within, by interests, curiosity, care or abiding values. It is more of an Autonomous motivation which is personally important, which involves engaging in an activity with eagerness and volition, with a sense of choice and willingness.

Having a better understanding of what motivates employees in the work place will help most organizations get the most out of the workers who work for them.
There’s something about me that loves to inspire others. I love to see the inspiration in others or to be able to help out people in any way gives me great pleasure. I think one of my purposes in my life is to lend a helping hand to people and to also inspire as many people as I can. Finding something that I can do that utilizes both of these qualities would be my ultimate goal and I believe I have found a way to do so.
