Wouldn't it be amazing to live forever, just by drinking some water from a spring. Well thats what I thought, then I really thought about it in detail. You really shouldn’t drink from the spring, because you wouldn’t be able to die, you would have to watch you loved ones die, and you wouldn’t be able to see how you change and grow. What are you thinking now, still want to? You wouldn’t be able to die. That sounds pretty good doesn’t it. Well, you wouldn’t be able to go to heaven. That is something a lot of people look forward to. In Tuck Everlasting, Miles said that a few huntsman mistook their horse for a deer, they shot it but the horse didn’t die. Plus, you wouldn’t have a full life cycle. You would be stuck at the top of the ferris wheel of life, so said Angus Tuck. Can you live with that? I bet you think you could. Well, how about having to watch your loved ones die. Its really hard to watch the people you love pass away. Honestly, that would suck. Everyone moving on experiencing life, except you. You would be filled with guilt and sadness of not being with your loved ones. You would be left alone, different friends all the time. You would be stuck the same way forever and you would not be able to fully experience life. The point of life is to try new things, changing is one of them. If you never change, you won’t be able to have that sense of old age. It is part of life. In Tuck Everlasting, Angus Tuck, the dad, is stuck as an old man and he tells Winnie that if you drink from the spring you are stuck and you can’t grow any older.
